CLP Changes

Published: 01 April 2015

We would like to reassure our customers that we are working hard to ensure that our Apollo and private-label packaging will be CLP compliant by June 1st 2015.

‘The CLP Regulation’ (CLP) will become the only legislation to apply to the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of chemical substances and mixtures. CLP requires companies to classify, label and package their hazardous chemicals appropriately before placing them on the market. The introduction of CLP means that the classification of certain chemicals will change, as will the hazard and warning pictorials featured on product labels. CLP is legally-binding and applies to all EU member states. More information on CLP is available by clicking here.

Those private-label customers who take a standard health and safety label will see their labels change over the next 2 months in order to meet the strict deadline of June 1st 2015. Our Apollo-branded/labelled products are also being updated. Apollo is also contacting private-label customers who take full-colour branded labels and pre-printed packaging to discuss actions required in order to comply. This is part of our support service to you. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Please do not hesitate to contact Apollo or your Account Manager directly with any queries.

On behalf of the Apollo Team.
